Minnesota State College - Southeast Technical is responding to the region's nursing shortage with new degree options.The Associate in Science-Nursing Mobility is designed as a progressive plan which advances on the previous knowledge acquired from practical nursing education. Students will acquire knowledge of professional nursing roles and responsibilities. Applicants must either be an LPN, or eligible for licensure as an LPN. Graduates are able to apply for the Registered Nursing Licensure Examination. Courses offered are designed for program laddering one level at a time. It is possible for you to begin by earning a nursing assistant certificate, then complete the Practical Nursing Program, the Associate in Science-Nursing Mobility Program and be eligible to apply to Winona State University's Bachelor of Science degree program without repeating courses. The Nursing Mobility program allows practical nurses the option to continue an education that emphasizes the knowledge and skills needed for Registered Nursing. Classes are available on both the Winona and Red Wing Campuses. Graduates from both programs are eligible to apply to take the State Board of Nursing licensure examination. Graduates have been extremely successful and career opportunities are widespread.
