In fall 1999, learning through laptop technology was implemented on the Red Wing Campus for career programs in accounting, computers and administrative support.
The instructors of these programs are enthusiastic about the Minnesota State College-Southeast Technical laptop program. Our computer labs, the Learning Resource Center, and the student commons have been upgraded to incorporate the use of laptop technology. As a student in these programs, you will have the opportunity to lease a laptop from Southeast Tech.
Since the implementation of the laptop program, students have increased their business and personal computer skills by utilizing the laptops. Knowledge of business software, personal software, hardware, and networks are just a few of the advantages of having a laptop at your fingertips.
Each student who is required to lease a laptop must submit a non-refundable $100 deposit. The deposit will be credited against the first semester lease price of the computer when the student begins classes.
Computer technology is constantly changing and we are changing with the times as well. If you have questions regarding your laptop, please contact your program instructors.
